aput.net is connected to the IPv6 world through two tunneling mechanisms: 6to4 and freenet6. In both cases I get a block of 280 addresses (a /48 network) to use. Under current IPv6 addressing standards that breaks down to 216 subnets of 264 addresses. I can't even begin to imagine how I would use any significant fraction of that address space, but it's fun to have available. Because the tunneling mechanisms introduce a significant extra latency, I don't advertise the IPv6 addresses by default. Here's a link that will only work via IPv6: http://www-ipv6.aput.net/ |
